In this role, I was the first point of contact for visitors, providing customer service while facilitating a memorable museum experience. I managed a variety of tasks, from front desk duties to retail support, and played a key part in engaging with the community.Key Responsibilities:- Welcomed and assisted visitors, ensuring a positive and educational experience for diverse audiences, including schools, families, and community groups.- Assisted with educational tours and activities for schools of up to 60 children, fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment.- Utilized DutySheet software to manage volunteer scheduling and track visitor engagement.- Operated Point of Sale (POS) systems, processed transactions, and provided retail support in the museum shop.Although this role was unfortunately eliminated after three months due to organisational changes, it was a valuable experience that honed my skills in customer service, community engagement, and public relations.
