CurrentIndustrial Maintenance Mechanic/Apprentice ElectricianUS Fibers – 30 Pine House Rd, Trenton, SC 29847November 2022 to Current • Collaborates with R&D and the electrical team to design, engineer, and test production models that integrate new technologies, improving product functionality and customer satisfaction. • Designs improvements to equipment to optimize safety, efficiency, ease of use and worker productivity. • Inspects and repairs various leaks (hydraulic, oil, air, water, material) and damaged connections, seals, or gaskets to improve overall equipment performance. • Arrives 15 minutes early to attended daily team meetings with the maintenance team and the P.O (Part Ordering) team to discuss goals, projects and delegate tasks. Assists the P.O team in maintaining inventory of needed materials, spare parts, and tools, minimizing delays due to lack of necessary resources for repairs. • Completes and records assigned weekly personal preventative maintenance tasks (PM’s). • Works safely, following proper PPE guidelines and LOTO procedures. • Saved US Fibers $50,000 - $100,000 in operating expenses from 2023-2024 by handling in-house repairs, reducing outsourcing costs. • Installs and tests new and complex production machine lines, assisting throughout the installation process, including concrete work, electrical wiring, mechanical installation, water, air, oil, and steam lines, electrical cabinets, wiring trays, welding, pre-planning for precise installations, and implementing improvements based on issues from older machines. • Installs and tests new ceiling or wall fans, ceiling heaters, safety devices, motors, gearboxes, and water pipes. • Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles complex production machines, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety guidelines. • Diagnoses and replaces faulty hydraulics, air lines, electrical components, sensors, switches, and wiring.
