Trained by European Resuscitation Council (ERC) as a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor. Primarily involved teaching undergraduate healthcare students the BLS algorithm as per ERC guidance. This included delivering 4 week courses teaching students how to deliver effective, high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), requiring excellent technique, communication and teamwork from myself. I have also taught essential first-aid skills to these students, including managing choking, catastrophic bleeding and unconscious casualties. I have also carried out voluntary work teaching BLS to the general public, including at secondary schools within Birmingham.
