Paul Mulhern is a highly experienced architect based in Monkstown, Co. Dublin. He has been in practice since 1999 and offers a full range of architecture services for domestic works including extensions, renovations and new-build houses. Other project types include conservation, housing & apartment developments, and many commercial sectors including bars, restaurants, offices, educational and retail. Paul also collaborates on projects with his father-in-law at Roger Hofler Architects.

B.Arch(Hons) B.Eng.(Arch).Paul studied at U.C.D. where he was an award winner in the R.I.A.I.’s Traveling Scholarship Programme, an annual competition held between students of all architecture schools in Ireland, north & south. After graduation from U.C.D. in 1999 he worked for the award winning practice, Howley Harrington Architects.He was project architect for the ‘Balgaddy A’ housing scheme of 85 Houses for South Dublin County Council, which won the RIAI Special Award for Best Housing Scheme, 2004.He was also project architect for an Affordable Housing Tower and infill mews development at Holles Street, Dublin 2, which was awarded First Place in an international design competition organised by Dublin City Council and run by the RIAI. This project has recently been completed.

This interlocking & overlapping scheme provided 9 dwellings on a tight urban infill plot which could have accommodated only 6 traditional units. All dwellings have there own private outdoor space in the form of gardens, balconies and roof terraces.HHA has now disbanded.
