I have more than 15 years' experience in marine conservation and in marine ecology related research. My interests remain rooted in marine protected area, sustainable fisheries, and currently in sustainable finance. Throughout my career, I joined non-profit organizations and collaborated with government agencies, academia, and local communities to implement effective marine conservation strategies in Indonesia. Motivated to make a tangible difference, I continued my academic journey and earned a PhD in Marine and Environmental Sciences from the University of Ryukyus, Japan, as well as continued marine research during postdocs at the IRD – New Caledonia and at the National University of Singapore.
