The Equipment Manager is responsible to coordinate, facilitate, and execute equipment activities in support of TIC Western District Construction Projects. Procures construction equipment and trucks by researching and recommending standard make and model of the fleet; recommending timing and type of equipment replacement;Negotiates purchases; prepares new vehicles and salvages equipment and trucks.Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; recommending additions or deletions to fleet; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Protects users by requiring mechanical checks and inspections; Maintain inventory of replacement parts, fuel, and supplies.Determines present and future equipment needs by collecting and analyzing records, operating, repair, and replacement parts costs, mileage and gasoline consumption, and rental/lease/purchase options.Keeps equipment available by tracking temporary and permanent assignments; utilizing rental and lease arrangements.Works with the fabrication shop and project teams to ensure availability of all standard items (i.e.) Hard hats, vests, etc.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Works with other districts to ensure effective utilization of company owned equipment.Works with estimating department to ensure equipment can be used as part of the bidding process when responding to client requests.

Responsibilities include a variety of branch operational functions such as customer relations, sales and rental of equipment, showroom displays and merchandise marketing. Additional Responsibilities include:• Establishing new rental and sales accounts by providing exceptional customer service to call-in and walk-in customers• Processing rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices in compliance with company policies• Maintaining a sufficiently stocked, presentable, and clean showroom• Ensuring customer satisfaction with all inside and outside branch staff• Coordinate and track daily equipment pick-ups and returns with the branch dispatcher*Through the IVES Safety Training , teach operators the safety and operating of aerial booms, scissors lifts , rough terrian forklift and counter balance forklifts

Audits and purges pick tickets daily to meet BBX standards.• Guides customers to other internal resources such as Technical Support, Credit, Grainger Parts and Sourcing or Sales as necessary.• Takes personal ownership for meeting established individual and team metrics. Consistently executes on all BBX requirements.• Assists customers with loading product into customer vehicle.• Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.• Participates in all required training to ensure proper compliance of HAZMAT and refrigerant when processing transactions. Completes product training courses.• Performs necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
