I have experience in working in resorts from construction to pre - opening stage as well.When the location is to be handed over to the management company it should be free of pests as far as possible or permitted.the main ares that need to be addressed are : 1} Guest Rooms /Villas2} Restaurants & Kitchens3} Stores$} Environment In villas the main issues would be to keep the location free from Cockroaches .Flies,Ants Spiders, Bedbugs etc. A report on any possible infestation of termites and other wood pests would be submitted as wellThe Restaurant and Kitchens would need to certified as free from Cockroaches .Ants Flies etcIn the Stores we need to concentrate on the above as well as Rodents, Weevils and other type of similar pests that could contaminate the items stored.Most important is the Environment factor - we need to be aware that it is of utmost importance t o be aware of the following : General cleanliness of the garden areas including the proper maintenance of trees. foliage etc. The possible infestation of infestation of caterpillars and similar pests to trees and foliageEnsuring that the waste management systems are in place and functioning.Recommending of environmentally friendly chemicals and practices.Qualification in Pre- opening :I've followed such a Pest management officer pre opening course at the Origin Exterminators Pvt Ltd.
