Static and flight testing of projects for FAR23 and ASTM 2245 compliance. Transitioning domestic compliance to foreign markets and corresponding governing bodies. Envisioned concept for the first plug'n play electrical system used in general aviation using one centralized control module to distribute power, signal and audio between multiple components. Each component uses a unique harness allowing different aircraft configurations without complex rewiring of the aircraft. Completed design and testing of harnesses, PCB layout and routing, design of trim, flap, audio and lighting control circuits. Leveraged major avionics manufactures to lower the price of avionics in general aviation. Designed the order of assembly of both RV-10 and RV-12 kits including hundreds of parts and thousands of fasteners that comprise the aircraft. Managed drafting team to create assembly instructions for kit builders. Worked with a team to develop algorithms to perfect flat pattern generation of complex sheet metal skins providing more accurate results than methods used by common CAD programs. Worked with Trumpf to develop punch and dimple countersink tools eliminating the need to deburr and dimple countersink skins by hand. Conducted fatigue research with a local university proving the automated process almost doubled the fatigue life of holes prepared by hand.Built N157RV gaining valuable hands on experience.
