Jacobs Sverdrup is a government services contractor (mostly NASA & DoD) and I was part of the Enterprise Systems Group, which is responsible for implementing and deploying solutions to support the financial, project management, and HR requirements of those government contracts. We built enterprise solutions using primarily ASP & ASP.NET (VB.NET & C#) architectures as well as some smaller Windows forms applications.

    Developed custom software for Wake Forest Medical Center and School of Medicine (North Carolina Baptist Hospital). My most notable project was a departmental database system for the Dept. of Neurology. The application was a Windows forms application developed by myself from the ground up using MS Visual Basic 6.0, MS SQL Server 7.0, and Crystal Reports. Institutional data was delivered and received through a Datagate interface using Winsocket interfaces that I developed in VB6. This data was then delivered to the client system and a custom workflow was developed that monitored the current status of patients in the department for treatment and also patients taking part in clinical trials. Part of this workflow included a transcription interface where transcriptionist would enter dictation from the physician and was then immediately available at all other stages of the workflow. Responsibilities included project planning, system design, resource allocation, installation and support.
