Initially hired in August 2012 as an ID Checker/Towel Room Attendant, I was promoted to the position of Office Clerk in December 2012 and to the position of Facility Supervisor in December 2013.As a supervisor, I was responsible for the security and management of the entire facility while on duty, as well as the supervision of other student employees and patrons of the facility. I was also responsible for the safety of all patrons and caring for any injuries, as well as providing any general assistance that the professional staff may have required.

As an intern in the Global Affairs Department, I learned about crafting environmental policy and the process of approving grants for NGO's working with various endangered and threatened species. I was able to participate in some of the grant approval discussion and see firsthand how these decisions are made.I conducted research on a wide variety of other organizations and compiled a database of those that the Service could partner with on future wetland restoration/protection projects.I also provided any general assistance that members of the staff may have needed.
