I am a senior Accounting student at the Poole College of Management, NC State. Prior to coming here, I worked as a server at a small Thai Restaurant, for 1.5 years, where I built my communication and customer experience skills. I also learned the importance of teamwork, and how to handle a high stress environment, where I built my ability to resolve conflicts. I also picked up a clerical position at a local exterminating company where I learned how to handle regular phone calls, further improving my customer experience skills, and how to use organizational systems for filing and bookkeeping. This last summer I was part of an internship with the North Carolina Department of Revenue which is currently ongoing. I regularly utilize databases and excel to manage amended tax returns, manual penalties, and more.I am hoping to enhance my knowledge and array of skills in my time here. I am open to learning new things, and hope to meet lots of people along the way. Currently, I am pursuing an Accounting degree, and am open to entry-level jobs relating to different types of business, finances, or accounting, that can broaden my career opportunities.
