Key Achievements:● Key member of the team responsible for providing personal and emotional care to children and young people in a residential care setting● Collaborating with other staff members in the running of the home, keeping it clean and tidy and adhering to Health and Safety requirements● Full responsibility of driving or escorting children/young person to appointments/activities and ensuring the objectives of the outings are met with maximum benefit● Liaising with, and maintaining partnerships with, other local community organisations including Local Authorities as well as health and other professionals working with the children and young people● Delivering person-centred care whilst following residents care plan, monitoring and updating any changes needed and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly● Full management of ensuring the quality of care provided is consistent with current legislation● Responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people● Provide mentoring, coaching and support to the residents, facilitating personal, social and educational growth with the children and young people as well as encouraging greater social inclusion● Actively participate with other staff members with the daily handover process, discussing any issues that may have arisen
