I have been in the beauty industry for almost 4 years now and have lots of experience in treatments and retail. I have been with Decleor for almost a year as it was only maternity cover. I absolutely love the brand and what the position entails. I manage the counter and focus on selling Decleor products and treatments to the local society. Which means a lot of events, planning and organising. Going through different products to suit every clients needs. Helping people feel happy with not only their skin but themselves is definitely one of the highlights of the job.

I applied for clarins as it's such an amazing brand to work for and the experience, knowledge and confidence I gained from working for clarins definitely helped me. The sales side of treatments and retail was definitely one of the main focuses of clarins. Customer care went along way as well and always dealing with their needs was essential. I gained a lot of confidence with my sales and my targets and figures went through the roof. Finding the correct ways to approach every client different and manage to adapt my personality to suit theirs. I gained an injury whilst working with clarins which is why I had to leave. But that's all sorted now, it's all well and good.

This was my first beauty job, I was also doing my NVQ Level 3 whilst working. I was here for 2 years and made friends for life. After my college NVQ was complete I felt it was time for me to move on and try for a bigger company to pursue my career further. It wasn't until I left here that I realised, that selling the products and the treatments would get the client the results they desire. Which is what I learnt when working for Clarins.
