In the class I helped answer questions and offer any advice to new students and help them get accustomed to being in Savannah whether it was school related or life in general. During orientation the main goals are to reduce anxiety, help connect students with resources, and finally to help students connect with other students. I engaged many students and their parents or families with information about Savannah and SCAD and helped give a calming sense to those who were anxious or upset. Orientation Assistants are the faces of SCAD and we welcome students into the university with big, friendly smiles!
