The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) unveiled its newest franchise in Calgary on October 19, 2022, the Calgary Surge. The CEBL features 10 teams in six provinces, making it the largest pro sports league in Canada. The Surge play out of WinSport Event Centre. In our first year, the Surge finished at the top of the Western Conference standings (12-8).
