Supported the company’s growth by effectively handling an increasing volume of import/export transactions within a FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone). I was assigned to two zones, one in California and another in Indiana, where I had the opportunity to work with various companies such as:LAM RESEARCHRockwell AutomationCummins IncRobert Bosch GmbHKey Responsibilities:Data entry of commercial documents for FTZ entry.Requesting commercial documents related to imports from various suppliers via email, carrier websites, and shared folders.Breakdown of commercial invoices to determine customs value for submission to customs brokers to minimize tariffs.Auditing shipments by comparing units expected (SAP data) with units received (Integration Point data), and uploading remaining stock information to the FTZ portal for investigation and processing.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve customs-related issues in a timely manner.Enhancing compliance through regular internal audits and identifying areas for improvement.Preparing and processing import and export documentation in accordance with U.S. customs regulations.Developing and maintaining relationships with customs brokers, carriers, and customers.
