I am a communications strategist, multimedia creative and a journalist by training. I have broad international experience in the commercial and non-profit sectors. Work experience in about 30 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Pacific. I am a Chevening scholar with an MA in Media and International Development from the University of East Anglia, UK. Wide experience in the non-profit sector with INGOs and CSOs in different countries. 5+ years of corporate management experience, many more in broadcast television in several countries, cinema and documentary productions, independent initiatives and media education. Good understanding of social media strategies, tools and content creation. Award-winning photographer and a hands-on filmmaker with camera, sound, editing and post-production experience, equally comfortable in the field and office. A proponent of multidisciplinary approaches, creator of conceptual art and intermedia projects. Since March 2024 with Tree Canada, as the organization's new Content Manager.

Sempre Viva is the brainchild of pioneer filmmaker, educator, activist and explorer at large, Eduardo Homem, his daughter, Valentina Homem and a group of associates and friends working on a variety of multimedia fronts. Eduardo has produced iconic films and photographic work across the globe, from the independence struggle in Mozambique in the 1970s to the Sandinistas in Nicaragua's revolutionary period. I have been working with Grupo Sal since its establishment as a freelancer and from 2009 to 2013 as permanent staff. My main function was postproduction manager, in charge of a team of 12 to 20 people delivering 150+ videos per year, almost 4 per week. Our products were made for broadcast on main cable channels as well as the Internet. I was responsible for hiring and training, editing and post protocols, equipment acquisitions and back-up systems. I was also the last eyes on any video product leaving the house before delivery. On occasion, I directed videos for our main clients: Google, Nike and SRCOM, actively participating in photography and editing in productions that often involved complex equipment such as cranes, drones and Steadicam.
