Foundation engineering includes, slab on grade design, pier and grade beam, post-tension, retaining wall structures and house lifts.• Geotechnical soil reports review and field implementation.• Wood, steel and concrete framing design for one, two and three story structures.• Energy Code Certificates of compliance by using REScheck software.• Foundation pad preparation and pre-pour inspections.• Clip and strap framing inspections for the Texas Windstorm Department of Insurance.• Energy Code and Energy Star compliance reports and inspections.

Responsible for the project management of heavy industrial pre-engineered metal buildings for the power generation industry. Experience includes contract negotiations, engineering review, quality control, project cost control, scheduling, construction safety and project site supervision.Project Managing/Sales Duties:• Responsible for reviewing bid documents to meet the client specific project requirements.• Responsible for attending negotiation meetings to discuss letters of credit, supply bonds, performance bonds, INCO terms, project schedules, liquidated damages, building erection strategies and building specific solutions.• Project management to facilitate communication between the customer and the shop fabrication facility in order to successfully meet the project specific requirements.• Responsible for coordinating acoustical balanced design of ventilation silencing equipment, acoustical walk doors, acoustical roll-up doors and acoustical cladding.• Responsible for site building erection supervision. Site duties include schedule coordination and implementation, daily and weekly progress reports, construction safety and subcontractors coordination.

Responsible for managing the civil-structural design, engineering and drafting for natural gas turbo compressor horse power additions. Design includes coordinating design criteria with mechanical, electrical, environmental and instrument engineers regarding the site specific requirements; supervise the work of draftsmen and engineers in their efforts to create construction documents for the project; provide quality control review before documents are issued for bid and construction.Engineering design duties include:• Preparing bid packages for acoustical and non-acoustical pre-engineered steel buildings. Bid packages include building design criteria, floor plans complete with mechanical equipment, detailed elevations, data sheets with equipment noise emissions and heat rejections, building air changes per hour, required sound transmission class levels and noise reduction requirements.• Extensive use of computer programs such as Autopipe, Caesar II and Triflex to perform complex pipe stress analysis based on finite element theory.

Responsible for designing and engineering the structure of each building, including coordinating building design criteria with architects, Building Code and City Code Officials regarding the site specific requirements; verifying shop drawings; cold formed steel design; coordinating foundation and roof framing plans with architects and draftsmen; responsible to ensure projects meet all building code requirements; use of Staad III to verify all members meet minimum code design criteria.Engineering design duties includes:• Extensive use of computer programs to find member and element stresses for building frames, towers, trusses and metal staircases under wind, snow drift, and seismic loads.• Lateral analysis of large one story commercial buildings under high wind, seismic loads and special loads.• Building roof-framing designs including roof deck diaphragm shear, moment connection details, steel and wood joists, beams, columns, anchor bolts and base plates.• Special foundation designs such as combined and moment footings, pier and grade beams, pier caps, driven piles, cantilever retaining walls and structural settlement.• Prepared pad preparation reports in accordance with Geotechnical soil engineering investigation for building pads, site drainage, pavement design criteria, and cantilevered structures.• Analysis and design of concrete structures such as building structural slabs, foundations, deep beams and parking structures.• On site inspection and remedial action documentation for damaged multistory parking structures and multistory concrete buildings.• Concrete masonry unit wall design and on site inspection.
