Ricardo Dunin is the Founder & CEO of Oak Capital. He has over 35 years of experience in the Miami, Caribbean and Brazilian real estate markets.Prior to Oak Capital, Dunin was a founding partner of Lionheart Capital and was responsible for the development of two The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Florida, one in Miami Beach and another in Singer Island in Palm Beach, with a collective sellout of nearly a $1 billion. In 2022 Dunin, under Oak Capital, joined forces with Fortune International Group to develop his third Ritz-Carlton Residences, this time in Pompano Beach, which is scheduled to be delivered in 2025 and has a sellout of about $600 million.More recently, Dunin’s Oak Capital became partners with Edifica, a Peruvian real estate developer, builder and fund manager, with the mission of developing condo buildings that are short-term rentals friendly nationwide. This new company, North Development Group, has a focus on quality and innovation, aiming to set itself apart in the marketplace and to become a trusted name in the hospitality industry. Utilizing its new brand “Domus,” North Development already launched its first building in the Brickell neighborhood, with a second one being launched in the first quarter of 2024.Dunin is also launching Larks (www.larksentertainment.com), a FEC (Family Entertainment Company) conglomerate, which was created to fill a void in a large and fast-growing entertainment market, and to take advantage of the many positive recent changes in the sector. Dunin owns The Flagler Group. Founded in 1996, Flagler is a Miami-based, multi-faceted real estate development company, which developed the Miami Airport Center and became the pioneer of the condo-hotel concept in South Florida in the late 90’s, with The Mutiny and of the Sonesta Bayfront Hotel Coconut Grove (now Arya Hotel).Other high-profile Dunin projects include: The Meridian, an ultra-modern building of 111 luxury lofts in South Beach and Le Sereno, a beachfront resort designed by Parisian designer Christian Liaigre in St. Barth.In Brazil, Dunin is a partner of Performance Empreendimentos Imobiliarios, a condo, office, and hotel development company headquartered in Rio de Janeiro. Founded in 2002, Performance has been involved in about one billion dollars of development work.
