What could be better than materializing constructs from my imagination? Given my aptitude for mathematics and my undying need to understand how everything works, becoming any kind of Engineer made sense.Early in my childhood, I was always creating something. I drew comics, characters, and wrote stories. I built tiny working lighthouses with just AA batteries, the cones from paper towel rolls, and the individual mini Christmas lights. I built massive Lego constructs and created entire storylines with my enormous roster of action figures from completely unrelated franchises. I'd even downloaded Blendr in my pre-teen years in an attempt to create character models for a game(for which I had no idea what the plot points or genre would be). My insatiable hunger to bring the vast worlds in my mind to life was beautifully accented with a nauseating curiosity for the inner workings of the world around me.Throughout Middle and Highschool, my extracurricular activities were riddled with Robotics and Technological Design courses. Within that time, my hunger to know how things worked had begun to point itself at the minds of other people. This curiosity materialized as Sociology courses in Highschool as well as in my first semester of college. It was around this time as well that my curiosity shifted towards a world that had hidden right underneath my nose for years.In exploring the world of software I found everything I could hope for. A world where the possibilities are only limited by my own imagination and hunger to know more. A world where exploring the minds of other people is a key part of success. A world where if you commit yourself, you can't be boxed into having spent years learning non-transferable skills. I could build a website today, an app tomorrow, and be coding a game the next day.
