As a first-generation Cuban-American, I felt a sense of duty to enlist in the US Navy and be able to give back to this great country that has provided my parents and grandparents bountiful opportunities that one could only dream of in their home country.Throughout my 21 years of military service, I've become experienced in senior enlisted leadership, program management, and team/individual leadership development.  Being allowed to mentor others has led to my own self-development as a leader within my community.  Within the naval maritime and overland search and rescue community, I’ve been afforded the opportunity to have led training/evaluation teams, led teams that have changed policy, and updated tactics and procedures that have resulted in the increased efficiency of naval search and rescue efforts worldwide.As an active duty service member, I strive for a family/work balance that allows me to be equally dedicated in all areas.  I enjoy spending time with my family and contributing to all my three children's educational, interpersonal, and spiritual development.Skills/Qualifications:Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Co-op Experience, Leadership, Teamwork Capabilities, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Goal Oriented, Competitive, Health/Physical Fitness Advocate, DoD SCI/Top Secret Clearance.
