As a Life Cycle Engineer my main responsibilities were to lead or participate on teams dedicated to systematically reducing design-induced variation in our products, creating sustainable improvement that benefits customers and drives significant business results.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Utilize DMAIC Six sigma methodology to define and improve product design induced variation.• Root cause failure modes of newly introduced products and propose solutions to reduce likelihood of failure.• Lead Corrective Action Preventive action activities to reduce production high scrap of newly introduced products changes.• Analyze component critical features; identify critical dimensions and follow-up with Component Engineer and Development Engineering to provide immediate and long-term solution.• Focus in continuous improvement, not only to provide short-term solutions but also substantially improve the performance of our products through robust component changes.• Perform customer complaint analysis of returned laparoscopic clip appliers to provide feedback tomanufacturing and design on findings.• Maintain technical expertise and familiarity with engineering, statistical, and predictive computer based tools
