I am a Clinical Psychologist and PhD student in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Maia, specializing in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). My research, titled "Flexibility between Immersion and Distancing: Their Role in Emotional Processing and Clinical Outcome," explores the mechanisms of emotional change in psychotherapy.Currently, I work as a Psychologist at the University of Maia's Psychological Support and Service Center, providing one-on-one consultations and clinical assessments. Previously, I served as a Junior Psychologist at the Professional Rehabilitation Center, focusing on neuropsychological screening and cognitive stimulation for cancer patients.I have participated in the EU-CAB project, contributing to data collection and analysis across multiple countries. My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both from the University of Maia. I have completed extensive training in various aspects of psychotherapy and hold certifications, including the EuroPsy Psychologist Certificate and Level 1 Emotion Focused Therapist by SPTFE.
