As one of the initial members of the team, I was involved throughout the entire design process, from the initial conceptual design stage to the fabrication and testing of an off-road Baja vehicle to compete in the annual Baja SAE competition. In our first year, the team placed 53rd of out 100 teams at the 2014 Baja SAE competition held in Kansas.Some of my responsibilities:- Developed base power train design specifications to meet SAE competition rules and requirements. Designed and selected components to meet these specifications while minimizing cost and maximizing modifiability.- Mentored new recruits on the development and fabrication of vehicle components, prototypes and assemblies- Formulated and presented a business plan that detailed the financial analysis of the implementation of the vehicle into a high volume manufacturing environment- Organized and performed presentations for the purposes of recruiting new members and expanding our presence in the university

- Designed and developed parts, assemblies and drafted technical drawings to be manufactured or used by production as reference drawings- Arranged documentation detailing the steps of the implementation of design changes to other departments (Production, Materials, Purchasing, etc.)- Developed and organized washer-disinfector top level model and spare kit bill of materials- Structured parts from Scican`s inventory using Visual Basic in order to efficiently prioritize and organize the vendors that will required to be contacted to verify RoHS compliance - Collaborated with Industrial Engineering to develop the optimal structure of assembly of new products for production
