• Prepare military correspondence and orders and maintain files.• Prepare military personnel actions including evaluation reports, applications for appointment, promotions, individual orders, retirement point cards, or transfers.• Provide technical advice on establishment and maintenance of pay accounts ensuring compliance with laws and regulations as well as researching complex pay issues.• Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures ensuring uniform interpretation and application.• Provide guidance on administrative and personnel matters such as recruitment, retention, assignment and transfer, Military Occupation Specialty, personnel strength, discharge, retirement, promotion, discipline, or utilization.• Research and analyze data identifying trends and report results to management.

Maintains and executes Urinalysis Program; develops and implements a random sampling schedule to maintain 10 percent testing; ensures fair and random testing of all personnel including tenant units; obtains and stocks materials; coordinates and conducts urinalysis testing; ensures collection, storage, and shipment of samples is in compliance with DoD Policy; maintains positive chain of custody; trains unit assistants in the collection, packaging, and recording process; enforces the Army's zero tolerance drug policy.

• Answer phones and assist nursing team members in a professional, courteous manner• Assist in obtaining replacement staff when needed to ensure optimal staffing levels and appropriate utilization of staff resources • Work collaboratively with the nursing supervisor, managers/directors of nursing units, and other leadership personnel on daily staffing plans based on the established matrix, unit census, and staff availability• Enter timely and accurate cost center changes made to staff schedules • Manage timely and precise updating of schedules to reflect call outs • Work collaboratively with other nursing administrative assistants to ensure that required reports are completed and submitted on time • Provide payroll, staffing, and scheduling reports for nursing units as requested • Bed planning - assist/facilitate patient placement and patient transfers on units • Perform any and all other duties as assigned
