After shooting full time on UK-based Discovery documentaries, I quickly progressed as a freelancer working for mainstream clients like the BBC, Sky and long term magazine shows for Redbull all over the world. In 2016 I invested in equipment and gradually worked more in sports documentaries and official films during sporting world tournaments, largely in football and sailing. Over the past few years Ricsblake Films has grown into a corporate films company producing videos for many different kinds of clients, often working within the engineering and medical fields. My experience has meant I have established connections within the many departments of film making, from preproduction planning to post production grading. As well as being an experienced Director of Photography the variety of corporate projects within different roles has made me a more rounded and experienced video editor who can work effectively with any team to achieve their goals as an independent or in a collaborative environment. I have also gained valuable experience working as a supervisor, managing teams across multiple countries. It is my objective to pursue a career as a producer, director, and manager. I'm passionate about my career and take every opportunity to develop and challenge myself and gain new skills, and believe strongly in developing positive personal relationships along the way!
