2014 was bleak AF.21 - single dad.I was my own worst enemy.I had zero belief in myself.Not a shred of confidence.I was broken…I avoided every opportunity.I second-guessed everything.Developing a default hesitation instinct.I wanted to go all in as a ‘family-man’… while still a boy.Already committing to a career I had no passion for.So I could provide and be a responsible father.2018 I became depressed.I gave up on everything… walking through life with zero purpose.The critic in me decided to double down.Self-sabotaging thoughts become louder.Banging the drum of worthlessness.Dark thoughts circled my mind.Thinking my daughter would be better without me.I thought this was who I was and I was destined to live this way.My mum was the only one who forced me to speak.(Thanks mum)I turned to the one thing I knew - health and fitness.But my mind needed to change.2019-2023 was longI had to go 'toe to toe' with my critic.I wanted to turn my life around.But I didn’t BELIEVE I could change.I needed to connect with who I was.To recognise my worth & love myself.It’s taken me a long time to come to this realisation.To understand that what might seem natural to some, isn’t for others.2024 - Aligned my biz to the person I want to help.I am no longer my worst enemy;- Who beats themselves up.- Who stays stuck and doesn't ask for help.- Who’s crippled by the thought of getting things wrong.I’m now someone who doesn’t quit.If I do get close to that point of giving in…I put myself in a position where I surround myself.with people that keep me going… cos, I ain’t perfect 😉Take it from someone who had zero self-belief.0-1 feels impossible in most things.And self-belief is the hardest 0-1 there is.
