For the majority of my early life I had become set on going to school to become an accountant due to the promise of a guaranteed job and the ease with which math came to me. I would have continued on this path had I not had my first experience with coding during high school. I fell in love with idea of sitting down and typing away until my work clicked together like one giant puzzle, much like my previous interest in math. Afterwards I shifted the focus of my studies and college applications to the schools of Computer Science and Engineering at the nearby Universities.During my ongoing college career I have focused on developing my skills as a programmer in sense of both my abilities to write and understand code and my ability to think analytically to determine the best approach to each problem. However, I put just as much effort in understanding the material from classes not related to my major. This has lead to me both tutor other students on an individual basis and lead full on class review sessions, sometimes even taking the place of the assigned teaching assistant after they leave for the day. I am well-versed in C and C++, familiar with Java, and can easily learn any other programming language if need be. I am also proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe Photoshop and can familiarize myself with any new software just as easily.
