Ever since I started my college education, I was thrilled by corporate finance, being able to understand business trends out of financial reports. I started to work as an external financial auditor for EY and began to understand the relevance of internal control and everything behind the financial reports. Throughout my professional career, I have been carrying out different roles, from an accounts payable analyst, whose main objective was to properly book expenses and write off liabilities, to a CFO, being a leader who is fully aware of the importance of humanity above tasks, without compromising results.I have had the opportunity to be involved in tough international accounting issues, such as hyperinflation accounting and foreign currency remeasurement and translation alignment to US GAAP, within the insurance industry, improving my understanding of monetary and non-monetary assets and liabilities, as well as realized and unrealized valuations. Both projects were completed timely and with great results.I also had the chance of being in charge of coordinating all strategic planning efforts of a business unit, from putting together a plan and selling its benefits to the corporation, to assembling a team to properly follow up on the strategies and action plans, above the business-as-usual budget. A great display of local teamwork was shown throughout this project, having a lot of collaboration to properly implement and monitor strategies.Additionally, I had the opportunity to be in a SOX project to make the business unit 100% compliant with this law. It was a task for which I coordinated internal audit resources and co-sourced personnel. I learnt a lot of project management based on timelines, tasks, resources and percentages of completion.In summary, I am a seasoned executive who provides valuable support on strategy, FP&A, internal control, corporate governance, accounting and controlling, always valuing human condition and the development of all team members. One of my rules is that it is always better to have collaborators who share values and integrity, training them on all technical skills necessary to deliver, than having great performers who do not share values such as ethics or integrity, jeopardizing sustainability and organizational environment.
