I am the founder of Keep•It•Human, a video game studio and spin-out from my academic research at the University of Manchester with a focus on environmental sustainability and co-founder of UnSupervised.uk (Machine Learning for Music). I also serve as a Professor of interactive music and as director of the NOVARS Research Centre. With over 20 years of experience in music composition, computer music, and interactive media, I have a passion for designing immersive experiences with game engines and cutting-edge technologies, placing sound and music at the core of the experience.My mission is to use physical and digital creativity to unlock new forms of storytelling and engagement between people and the opportunities to ignite local and global change. Keep•It•Human is a digital game ecosystem for collaborative altruism, that aims to address some of the global challenges we face today. I also explore the relationships between digital technologies and the self, and how to escape the power of rationality, as in Dali's paintings, to experience the human condition and the uncanny. Over the last few years, UnsuPervised.UK has built upon 15 years of sonification projects in Music, adding machine inteligence into the creative process. The Machine Learning for Music Working Group at UnSuperviSed is a community of composers, musicians, computer scientists and audiovisual artists, exploring the creative use of emerging AI and Machine Learning technologies in Music.
