I am co-head of Haynes and Boone's New York Investment Management and Private Equity Practice Groups. My practice is focused on investment management, private investment funds (hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds) in the U.S. as well as numerous offshore jurisdictions, commodities, broker-dealer and regulatory issues. I represent sovereign wealth funds and other investors with respect investing in private funds and establishing managed accounts. I also represent a broad spectrum of investment managers, hedge funds and private equity funds and advise them with respect to all aspects of their operations including structuring, ongoing compliance issues, registrations, trading issues and regulatory examinations and investigations. I advise U.S. and non-U.S. clients as to matters relating to the U.S. Investment Advisers Act of 1940, U.S. Investment Company Act of 1940, the Commodity Exchange Act as well as SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and Blue Sky compliance issues.
