I’m a music industry professional from Monterrey, Mexico, with 30 years of experience in diverse areas of the live and recorded sectors of the business. In my career as producer/engineer, I was partner of Cuarto de Control Studios and worked with Gold and Platinum-level artists such as Control Machete, Plastilina Mosh, Zurdok, Zoé, Julieta Venegas, Café Tacvba, Resorte, Genitallica and Titan, among others. As an independent manager, under my XL Producciones brand, I represented major label artists Resorte (Discos Manicomio/Universal), Genitallica (Sony Music) and Cartel de Santa (Sony Music) entre 1999 y 2003.After that period, I founded HOME Artists, a talent agency that was bought in 2010 by OCESA, one of the largest live entertainment companies in the world. As part of the deal, I was appointed as their local marketing manager, developing the department from scratch, and promoting more than 300 events, including Aerosmith, Rammstein, Interpol, Iron Maiden, Kiss, The Strokes, Shakira, Britney Spears, Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bosé, Marc Anthony, Chayanne, Zoé, WWE and the NASCAR Series.HOME Artists exclusively managed the careers of Zoé, Cartel de Santa, Jumbo, Sussie 4, Vaquero, Quiero Club, Becker, Volován, Ana Victoria and others, and had a JV record label with Warner Music México. After my 5-year tenure with OCESA, I got a masters degree in business innovation, and during that time, I developed the idea of my current company, Kolektiv360. Shortly after graduating, I served as director of marketing and sponsorships for Showcenter Complex, a 4,500-capacity event venue in Monterrey, until its opening in 2019.Kolektiv360 began as a talent agency with clients such as Buffalo Blanco, Melissa Galindo, Pit Moreno, Sussie 4, MC Davo and Becerros, and after a pandemic hiatus, it was relaunched as a music projects hub in the end of 2023.Our projects and clients so far have a wide span: Manchester alternative/indie trio Cassia, Mexican metal titans Resorte, multitalented content generator Cid Vela (Galatzia, El Ezequiel), drummer/DJ extraordinaire Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai), acclaimed Grammy-nominee jazz singer Magos Herrera; UK event and experience outfit Ridiculous Biz, global talent agency UTA, Mexican concert promoting giants OCESA (Live Nation), influential Mexican music conference & festival FIMgdl, and more.Currently, we are partnering up with Zapal music festival for their first Monterrey edition in 2025 (after 5 successful editions in Saltillo, Mexico), and also developing a handful of special projects within the music industry.
