Born in London and raised in São Paulo and California, I am a bilingual researcher, writer, translator, and editor with 12 years’ experience overseeing the production of award-winning coffee-table books in the areas of culture, lifestyle, education, and sport. As a freelancer, I coordinate the monthly PT-EN translations of Pesquisa FAPESP magazine, provide EN and PT content for language-learning app Duolingo, contribute articles to a variety of websites (i.e. Publishing Perspectives, Football Espana, VisitTheUSA.com), create web and social media content for global clients, conduct market research, and develop new business opportunities for companies from a variety of industries and countries.My adventures as a book editor have brought me memorable experiences, such as the opportunity to research the wreck of the "Brazilian Titanic", Principe de Asturias, and interview Brazilian sports legends Pelé and Gustavo Kuerten (aka Guga), among other athletes and celebrities. I've also had the pleasure of teaching English and translating a number of books and museum exhibitions.Here is a brief list of my activities/skills:★ Co-author and chief editor of "Guga: Imagens de Uma Vida", the authorized biography of the greatest Brazilian tennis player of all time, Gustavo Kuerten (Magma Cultural - March 2017).★ Coordinate, edit, and revise the monthly PT-EN translation of Pesquisa FAPESP magazine.★ Create and translate EN/PT content for the language-learning app Duolingo.★ Translated the item descriptions at the official Pelé Museum in Santos, Brazil, as well as a number of books.★ Headed the production of award-winning editorial projects, including the authorized biography of Brazilian soccer legend Pelé ("Primeiro Tempo", 2011).★ Led teams of 15+ employees and suppliers in the development of editorial projects with an average budget of USD250,000.★ Taught English at Centro Europeu in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.
