I am a Control and Automation Engineer with specialization in the area of Software Engineering.I have extensive experience in the fields of: Distributed systems, Computer Security, and Byzantine Fault tolerance.My PhD work was focused on bringing Byzantine Fault Tolerance to distributed systems, in particular cloud-scale storage systems. I have published several papers on the subject, including a Best Paper award from an IEEE conference. My PhD work included "n-out-of-m" storage redundancy with encryption (see the paper "Belisarius"), distributed transactions (see the paper "Augustus"), and support for arbitrarily complex distributed atomic operations (see the paper "Callinicus").My Master degree work focused on ubiquitous computing and "Internet of Things".
