I am experienced in the analysis and design of regional climate model experiments, data processing and scientific writing, among others. I actively participate in collaborative initiatives with local and regional networks of earth system scientists and stakeholders such as ANDEX, JovenANDEX and the Scientific Knowledge Observatory about Climate Change (O4C-IGP).

Research AssistantInstituto Geofísico Del Perú Sep 2021 - PresentCurrent position (2024-): Research Assistant of the AmazClim project ("Climate Change, Deforestation and Possible Collapse of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest through Numerical Earth System Modelling", PI: K. Takahashi). Currently focused on the design and analysis of numerical sensitivity experiments on the ORCHIDEE land surface model. (2021-2024) Thesis researcher of the CLIMPEZ project ("Climate change impacts on Amazon fisheries productivity", PI: E. Armijos). I investigated the ability of regional climate models in resolving precipitation over the terrain-complex Andes-Amazon transition region. A research paper was published and is associated with my Masters degree (see below). Another one delves into the controls of orographic structures on the atmospheric mechanisms leading to the rainiest region in the Andes-Amazon basin, and is currently under peer-review in Atmospheric Research. Both authored with the international collaboration of IGP and IRD-Pérou, among others. -
