As a Project Manager, my career progressed by taking on more complex, and larger capital projects. These projects enabled me to develop expertise in decision making, critical thinking, and team building. Because a number of the projects included significant technology step-outs or alternative execution strategies, I also learned to identify and manage high risk aspects of a project. It was through subsequent roles as a Supply Chain Manager, and Senior Account Executive that I gained experience in areas like continuous improvement, asset management, and account management. These roles, outside of project management, have provided me with a greater appreciation for others’ perspectives, and enhanced my ability to build cohesive, multidisciplinary teams to resolve critical issues, and drive business results.
