DS Special Agents are sworn federal law enforcement officers and specially trained Foreign Service security professionals. While serving overseas as a Regional Security Officer, a DS Special Agent advises the U.S. Ambassador on all security matters and manages a complex range of security programs designed to protect personnel, facilities, and information. DS Special Agents protect the U.S. Secretary of State and visiting foreign dignitaries, investigate passport and visa fraud, and conduct personnel security investigations.

-Managed a 24/7, 365, professional development course as part of the leadership team at Marine Corps boot camp. Responsible for the basic training of over 1500 recruits. Actively instructed and managed topics such as physical security, anti-terrorism force protection, risk management, emergency response, first-aid, water survival, marksmanship, physical fitness, martial arts, and ethical decision making.

-Managed physical security projects and operations during two international assignments each lasting approximately 8 months. Worked cross-functionally with foreign governments and militaries resulting in improved security and infrastructure in the region. Responsible for the engaged management of 150 employees and planning operations to promote the interests and security of the United States.-Managed a physical security program and asset/access control, in accordance with anti-terrorism force protection standards, of sensitive items such as encrypted communications equipment, weapons, computer systems, and vehicles valued at 22 million dollars during grueling operational tempos that sustained business capabilities and resulted in improved performance.
