Releases were delivered every 2 to 3 months as opposed to 6 to 12 months.- Directed all onshore and offshore QA resources and activities.- Collaborated with development, customer care and technical staff to deliver products that met customer expectations.- Responsible for managing test automation effort. Tools used for automation include Selenium and Cubictest. Automated tests were used as regression tests to ensure quality levels were maintained as features were added.- Maintained quality metrics and reported these to senior management.- Staffed and managed the activities of the product documentation team. Documentation evolved from printable manuals to a wiki based product, allowing immediate additions or changes. -

Tools included defect-tracking tools such as ClearQuest as well as creation of detailed standards for the way the division develops and tests software deliverables. - Served as a resource for VSD project managers, helping them implement efficient and effective defect elimination processes for our individual projects. Provided leadership and experience to junior level QA and project managers with strategies and rollout plans for implementing change.- Reduce costs and increase productivity by promoting change from a philosophy of defect detection and removal (test and rework) to a philosophy of defect prevention (inspection and verification) during software development. Part of this job also included serving as the repository for VSD standards and practices and to ensure that the standards remain current and vital. Developed, implemented and monitored consistent, timely, and efficient inspection and review processes for requirements, design, coding, and test phases of the software development lifecycle. This resulted in higher quality deliverables to the QA teams and ultimately, the customer. -
