Put Growth First educates, advocates and consults on pro-growth economic policy. Economic growth does the most to solve the most problems, and does so in a way that unites the country. Growth trumps both redistribution and austerity. However, growth is widely misunderstood. Production drives the economy, not consumption. In other words, the engine pulls the train, the caboose doesn't push it as conventional wisdom suggests. Business investment is the fuel, and such investment relies on a stable unit of measure, the dollar. The unstable dollar sends faulty price signals and misallocates capital. Further, the tax code taxes the formation of capital, and double taxes it once it is formed. Moreover, Fed policy has evolved in a way that deems wage growth to be the "cause" of inflation. As such, the Fed fights wage growth in the name of fighting inflation, resulting in prolonged income stagnation. A requirement to stabilize the dollar will lead to stronger growth and, by preventing the Fed from counteracting wage growth, more people will participate in such growth.
