Built the company to 150 consultants (mostly in Chicago & Dallas), then left the company to my two remaining partners in 2001. Then I met a group of docs that wanted to change the world for the better in emergency medicine and I couldn't resist the challenge... Prior to 1994, I did the same thing for another IT consulting firm starting right out of grad-school; Synectics (i.e., grew the business from 12 to 125 consultants)...the only difference was that I was an employee (VP Recruiting & Biz Dev) and not a partner.
