Strategically lead the operational arm of the Learning and Development department. Lead all operational aspects of core functions related to the delivery of a programme of support for people in critical roles across the gymnastics community and in line with strategic objectives, organisational goals and community needs. Specifically lead on; the strategic delivery of course programming; the integration of monitoring and evaluation data and insight to inform decision-making across the department; and workforce recruitment, training and deployment. • Delivering Performance Lifestyle support to Taekwondo athletes, including both Podium Potential and Podium athletes to supporting them in making effective performance based decisions. • Supporting the transition of 15+ new athletes from a Talent Identification Programme into a full time world class centralised programme. Successfully creating a Poster Presentation focusing on athlete inductions for the EIS National Conference as a model of good practice for other practitioners.

• Creation of a volunteer workforce to support the British Olympic Association Preparation Camps for the London 2012 Olympics. Operational management of 500 volunteers and 4 full time secondment staff through writing job descriptions, recruitment, selection and deployment.• Created a Coach & Volunteer Academy for 400 volunteers to support the sporting structure at Loughborough University from events support & sports science through to sports coaching. Responsible for creating a volunteer pathway for students to gain experience which will later lead to employment with key stakeholders.• Market and promote all opportunities for students to engage with as well as working with partners to ensure student development and opportunities are maximised as part of the volunteer and coaching pathway.

• Supported the Sports Development Centre’s School Visit Programme with £50,000 income and increased links with local community schools while educating school children in sport development and sport science.• Initiated the student player pathway, identifying sports and how the student involves themselves at all levels of the pathway from recreation through to elite level.• Part of a team responsible for successfully bidding for £250,000 of Sport England funding via the Active Universities themed bid.

• Responsible for identifying and supporting athletes in their progression through the athlete pathway from all levels starting at recreation right through to NGB Elite performance.• Overall responsibility for running Loughborough Students Athletic Union, overseeing 54 Athletic Union Clubs, 80 paid coaches and 8 members of the AU Exec team.• Signatory and controller of a budget in excess of £500,000• Regular liaison with the Vice-Chancellor & University’s Executive Management Group.• Event management of BBC East Midlands Sports Awards (1500 attendees), Athletic Union Ball (1000 attendees) as well as project management of Healthy Living week and Loughborough Superstars.• Formulated a 3 year marketing and kit agreement across all University sport departments worth over £1 million
