In this role, I am responsible for a range of essential duties related to dental equipment within diverse settings. As a member of the Equipment Procurement Committee, I play a pivotal role in the planning, layout, and installation of new equipment, ensuring it meets the highest standards. This includes collecting competitive bids from equipment manufacturers and dental supply companies to make informed procurement decisions. Additionally, I undertake the crucial task of repairing and maintaining various dental equipment, including high-speed handpieces, x-rays, chairs, units, vacuums, compressors, and sterilization equipment across our school, preclinical areas, and outreach clinics. Beyond maintenance, I also have the privilege of training new students in our dental program, imparting knowledge on the proper use and maintenance of this equipment, and ensuring they are well-prepared for their professional journey.
