As a Project Manager I have been involved in Glasgow Housing Association's regeneration programme which transformed Glasgow's social housing stock, previously owned by Glasgow City Council into modern properties that meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard. This required homes to be in a reasonable state of repair, to be secure and energy efficient while at the same time affording the residents a warm home.This was achieved by carrying out:- External fabric works - Roof renewal and external insulation and render- New Secure by design doors and double glazing windows- Loft Insulation- New Gas and Electric central heating systems- New Kitchens and bathrooms- Redecoration of closes and landings for low and high rise buildings.- Environmental works - landscaping around properties including parking spaces- FencingThis programme has been completed. The organisation has embarked on a programme for new builds and moved some of the investment and regeneration staff to its property management division. I have since moved to the property management side of the business where I still carry out project management duties in addition to repairs and maintenance duties.
