At a young age, volunteering at a seniors assisted living centre sparked my interest in uncovering the mysteries of health science. Caring for ageing populations and helping them to share more of their wisdom was deeply meaningful. On the frontlines of forging these connections, I decided enhancing human life through medicine would be a cornerstone of my career. After completing a Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences, I have spent the last 5 years in labs and medical rotations across North America. As one of the Leads of the Cord Blood donation program at MD Anderson (the largest Cancer Centre in the United States), I trained, educated and managed a team to further insights to treat childhood blood disorders and cancers through stem cells. I’m thrilled at the progress we made.Currently, as the Director of Analytical Sciences at Mountain Valley MD I’m supporting the research and development of innovative biomedical technologies including Quicksome (sublingual wafer) and Quicksol - game-changer streams that have the ability to maximize efficacy of substances while lowering side effects for cancer patients. I’m a big picture thinker and as a woman in the biotech field, I’m working towards shaping the future medical landscape and helping to develop inclusive and equitable health solutions.When I’m not trying to save humanity, you can find me enjoying camping, playing chess, badminton and photography.
