As parts of my duties I am expected to incident manage (proactive and reactive), resolving where possible and escalating them as needed and evaluate/implemented network changes.Skills involved within my position include managing a distributed Nagios implementation, Juniper Switches & SAs/MAGs, Check Point Firewalls, Stonesoft Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Extreme Switches, VMware, and Windows Server 2003.I have gained first-hand experience in a variety of different network technologies that are in use today. I am able to manage and maintain almost any type of network based on Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, and 3com. As an industry placement, I worked within the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP) office maintaining and updating the companies ICT equipment and websites. My primary role within the organisation was to maintain the corporate systems providing end user support. Typical, tasks involved ensuring backups had completed and maintaining records for equipment, software and licenses.
