During my time I created a brigade community newsletter, organised community ‘Open Day’ events to connect with the local high-risk Oaklands community attracting more than 100 people, and built the brigade's reputation within the CFA and local communities.Secretary (December 2014 - October 2015): Temporary role as Secretary of the Clarkefield Fire Brigade. Recorded and distributed meeting minutes and agendas, maintained correspondence, and wrote grant applications.

As the the first person elected into the Community Safety Role after its introduction, I pioneered the role within Romsey Group of Fire Brigades. My responsibility is to coordinate and provide support for brigades and members with their community safety and fire prevention activities.Supporting the six brigades under my responsibility I established the Romsey Group Community Safety Committee, providing opportunities for knowledge and skill sharing, resultantly increasing the variety, number and effectiveness of community engagement activities across the brigade areas.At a local community fire safety forum I helped coordinate in October 2015, I gave a presentation on where to find information during an emergency and the role social media in community information.Represented CFA on the Macedon Ranges Shire Council’s Municipal Emergency Management Committee for two years and the Fire Management Sub-committee for three. Also a representative on CFA’s District 2 Community Safety Leadership Team.

Aurecon is a global engineering, design, and advisory company based in Melbourne. As the Lead Media Officer for the brand new Swinburne Engineering Student's Society, I led the club's social media and marketing strategy to make SESS one of the biggest and most successful clubs at Swinburne. I coordinated a small team to develop and grow the club's social media and communications channels. This was guided by an overarching strategy.By December 2019, SESS boasts the second largest membership of all Swinburne Clubs with 463 members. Social media posts have accumulated a reach of 110,000+. Facebook has 700+ likes, LinkedIn has 330+ followers, and Instagram has 150+. SESS's media profile has become extremely competitive amongst the Swinburne community.Our club won two awards at the Swinburne Student Life Awards:- Best Club Initiative 2019 (Engineering Industry Night)- Best Club Collaboration 2019 (Entrepreneurial Leadership Program)I was voted SESS Member of the Semester by the club in July.I recognise and take pride in my role in this club's success. Perhaps the most exciting example was marketing for the aforementioned Industry Night - our first big event which, with 350 attendees, was the largest student run industry event at Swinburne.

New role to promote Sunbury Community Festival's brand through online media platforms. I established a Facebook page, a Wordpress blog, and a Twitter account. By the time I left the role, the Facebook page had gained more than 4000 likes and the blog received 500 hits.In addition to running this portfolio, I was part of other sub-committees of the festival including Fundraising and the Walk Run charity event.

Worked as an Assitant Manager at Ali Baba K'babs in Watergardens and Chadstone. Watergardens was the store I was based at, but after a few months an Assistant Manager position opened up at Chadstone and begin working there at the same time although it included three hours of travel per day.Management skills associated with a goods based industry were also learnt during my time at Ali Baba. This was different from Security Victoria which is service based. These skills included the management of a small group of young employees, quality control, cash handling and internal communication methods. I had the responsibilty of managing employees, often of school age, to ensure they were cleaning the shop properly according to set standards, serving customers appropriately and efficiently and that they and their uniform was presented decently.

Worked in the kitchen at McDonalds. My main duties were to prepare, cook and assemble a variety of burgers and to ensure that each one was made as fast a possible and correctly. As McDonalds is a leader in cleaning and OHS procedures I have learnt valuable skills to apply in future jobs. Cleaning duties included cleaning down all equipment, changing bins, picking up litter outside of the building and making sure all surfaces remained clean.
