About Richard M.

I am a current psychology undergraduate with Swinburne Online, where I am finishing off the undergrad pathway I started in a previous degree. In 2021, I completed a Double Degree in Health Science and Media & Communication at Swinburne, majoring in Neuroscience & Social Media. In my neuro pathway, I chose to research the neurobiology of psychopathologies, particularly BPD and PTSD, with a focus on childhood trauma. I also enjoyed studying memory, cognition, and epilepsy.Outside of university and work, I have active volunteer commitments in the CFA, Rotary, and other organisations. While I hold no committee positions there for the first time in a few years, I am also highly engaged in clubs at Swinburne. In 2021, I was the Vice President of the Swinburne University Psychology Association where I still assist in community management.I have occasional paid work as a speaker for Batyr, where I go to schools around Melbourne and share my lived experience of mental health.I have so much more to say, but let's end it here! Check out my profile if you want to know moreProfessional Memberships:- Australian Psychological Society (APS) - Since August 2020- Australasian Neuroscience Society (ANS) - Since December 2020- APS Child Sex Abuse Interest Group Member- APS Clinical College of Neuropsychologists Student Member
