Within the Conference Services Department, Hotel Laurier operates during the summer months (April-August) and provides accommodations to students, visiting faculty, large conference groups, as well as individuals and families from around the world. The Hotel Laurier Manager is responsible for overseeing all Hotel Laurier operations, hiring and training a team of representatives, maintaining financial records, working in collaboration with other departments at Laurier and building good rapport with guests. The Manager is required to work regularly scheduled front desk shifts and serve in an "on-call" capacity if any issues arise outside of hours of operation. The Hotel Laurier Manager works closely with the Conference Services Coordinator throughout the winter term in order to prepare for the summer months and organize large conference groups.
