Crittenton Women’s Union (CWU) is a social service provider, a think tank and a grassroots advocacy organization—all in one. Fostering a flexible, dynamic and creative environment that produces measurable results. CWU has a holistic approach to working with its clients, connecting them to a network of resources and accompanying them on their journey to economic independence. CWU serves approximately 1,400 low-income individuals annually, including women and their families, teens, and young adults.Responsibilities included the management of all human resource related matters including the creation of personnel policies and procedures, employee benefits, employee relations, payroll, affirmative action policies, staff orientation and training, and risk management. As the HR Manager, I ensured that all human resource programs and operations met established quality standards, compliance requirements, employee needs, and are consistent with the goals and objectives of Crittenton Women’s Union. Included, I served as an integral consultant to CWU leadership, partnering with them to drive organizational improvement, foster an environment of high employee satisfaction and commitment, and implemented the strategic plan and business objectives.

ACT has eight terminal locations in the Northeast and services fifteen states on overnight, early AM, or unattended delivery. Managed all human resource activities including employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, payroll, implementation and administration of ACT’s human resource programs and employment policies, personnel record-keeping, workers compensation and team member safety issues, training and workforce development, and compliance with HR laws and regulations for staff of approximately 187 employees in eight Northeast locations.
