I am currently the lead communications engineer for the CLING-ERS project at USC's Space Engineering Research Center in Marina Del Rey. My responsibilities include designing the wireless communication between two RPO systems and the wired communications between the RPO system and its host spacecraft. I work closely with subsystem teams to create a cohesive communication design through the design, testing, and operational phases of the project.

I conducted the design of a field test evaluating stability of multiple tether configurations for the Venus Aerobot project in JPL’s robotics division. With a tight timeframe of ten weeks, I rapid prototyped novel latch/release mechanisms, tethering methods, and gondola plate layouts with SolidWorks and Prusa 3D printers. I collaborated on the I2C and UART software design for integrating with an embedded electronics stack and active thermal control. I successfully carried out two 100,000ft+ flight field tests in the Mojave Desert that gathered data to contribute to the design of the flight tether system.

I worked with the Lead Project Engineer to organize and plan automated machinery use over 7500 acres of farmland. I designed a custom spool for sprinkler hose collection increase irrigation efficiency in strawberry fields. I also was involved in evaluating and operating cutting edge automated machinery to reduce field weeding labor needs.

As a field irrigator at Betteravia Farms, I worked over two summers with a group of irrigators to haul, lay, and pick up sprinkler pipe over a 700 acre farm while gaining experience in hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. I also worked with experimental sprinkler pipe to irrigate a sand dune into strawberry fields.
