Introduced and instructed classes of 50+ students on historical research methodology andprocesses. Kept and organized class records, worked closely with students, and led sessions for classes. Created announcement posters for visiting speakers and worked with my professors to provide a comfortable visiting experience for all guest lecturers.

Conducted historical research regarding Raleigh’s black community throughout the 1900s. Transcribed fifteen recorded interviews of people of color taken in the 1980s regarding their experiences growing up in Raleigh. Helped to expand the City of Raleigh’s knowledge on the challenges that people of color faced and the opportunities they created in the city.
